La Taqueria was born in 2009, through the idea of creating a taco stand, which resemble the taste and feel of street tacos around Mexico. These tacos are usually the best, a real Mexican tradition.”

Maizal
“Maizal embodies the flavours and knowledge of agro-culinary Mexico. We tend to the earth, we plant heirloom maize, and we save our seeds. We mill the grain, we knead the masa, and we press the tlaxcalli (tortillas). We roast, boil, and smoke chiles, onions, garlic, and tomatillos to produce fresh salsa, slow-cooked cochinita pibil (achiote pulled pork), and rajas (slivers of poblano pepper) like no other. And this is just a taste…hungry yet? Indulge in the food and drinks we have to offer. “Our intention is to offer in our Vancouver and South Surrey locations, a great variety of tacos, tortas, burritos and other fare that capture the idea and flavors of real Mexican street food.
We focus on providing fresh ingredients, great prices and full flavour—our extensive selection of salsas, as well as the homemade horchata are always talking points.
The restaurant is fully licensed so you can wash down your huarache with a Mexican beer, a creamy rumchata or an ice cold margarita.”
